About Jargon on site
Jargon on site aims to teach a language for practical purposes. Either oral or written, for work, leisure or specific daily activities. All lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each participant. As a complement to language lessons, Jargon on site offers a selection of social and cultural group activities in the company of personal language and culture assistants.
Anyone who has ever lived abroad will understand that each country has certain qualities that a newly arrived individual may not immediately grasp. It takes time and effort to integrate into a new country and to become aware of its idiosyncrasies. At Jargon on site, the main goal is to make it easier for expats, alone or as a family, to find their way in the Netherlands or prepare for a new life elsewhere.
Ellen Singer is one of the founders, as well as a teacher at Jargon on site. She is Dutch, but grew up in Argentina and Uruguay, attending British schools. When she returned to the Netherlands, she spoke relatively little Dutch, but certainly does now!
Our first-hand experience as an expat is the basis of how we teach a new language and culture at Jargon on site. Our personal language and culture assistants enable expats arriving in the Netherlands to adapt better to their new life, or be better prepared on departure to live abroad, whether for a shorter or longer period.
The name Jargon on site tells you what we do. We provide lessons at your office or home, as well as online lessons, helping you to start a new life in your new country. We adapt the materials, their content, style and more to your needs, because we all learn faster when interested.
In-person lessons are limited to the location of the personal language and culture assistants, but online lessons are – by their nature – available worldwide. You decide what suits you or your company best.
